Philips N.V. is a Dutch diversified technology company headquartered in Amsterdam with primary divisions focused in the areas of electronics, healthcare and lighting. Philips is organized into three main divisions: Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Philips Healthcare and Philips Lighting. We were handling the Consumer lifestyle website’s data. The data displayed on the www.philips.com is created by a legacy application named Pikachu, in which I was working on. Pikachu generates XML for the end systems like ATG/Bazaarvoice and this data is managed by them to build the website. I have supported Shop ATG application for the price and product feed exports to enable right values to be displayed in the Philips Shop site. This is an ecommerce application which covers the end-end check out functionality.

I was involved in the project-Bestbuy Open Box which is developed to provide customers enhanced features in Online Shopping. This provides customers of Bestbuy online shopping , the ability to select a particular store near to their place and purchase an open box item which is having some minor defects at a low cost. It was based on ATG Commerce.
