PROJECT OBJECTIVE & DESCRIPTION:

This project is to provide application development, enhancement, information delivery and maintenance of life Insurance  Data Warehouse for Hartford Life Insurance which is fourth  biggest life insurance  giants in US. This deals with Group Benefit division of Life insurance.
The HLI has 27 logical legacy source system from which data is extracted and staged in 5 different staging tables, after which subjected to Data Warehouse area which contains 9 data marts.
In support of information delivery, GBD Data Warehouse is accountable for the capture and movement of data from transactional and external data sources to the Data Warehouse environment.
A historical level of data is stored in persistent staging data stores and then transformed and loaded to operational data stores and data marts.
ETL processes are scheduled to meet daily, weekly and monthly service level expectations.
Data loads are primarily incremental updates with a full table refreshes treated as exceptions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Provide production support for the ETL (Informatica) part, Autosys, reporting (brio/BO)
Involved in implementing Enhancements (ETL design and development) to the existing systems.
Part of the Defect prevention group in the team and Handling the Team in the newly implemented MSM model.
Leading the MSG Team that handles the production support of the newly added application (ETL (Informatica), Autosys, Reporting).
Data warehouse Batch jobs using Informatica, Autosys and batch reports through Brio scheduler. Monitoring, troubleshooting in daily Batch jobs using Informatica Data Warehousing Tool.
Working with BQY creation for the reports.
