Detailed Job Description
· Manage the overall laboratory operation.
· Performs metabolic drug testing.
Supervised junior medical technologist regarding their work and duties within their designated section.
Monitors staff’s performance and double checking their works before the release of results.
Communicating the results to medical staff and will then use the information to diagnose and treat the patient’s illness and alerts them of critical values and documents the notification of the critical values as per protocol.
Monitoring the effects of the medication and other program of treatment by carrying out further test.
Reviews test results for accuracy and completeness prior to filing them in the computer, ensures that laboratory standard and quality of patient results are met
Assisting in the production of laboratory documentation, particularly relating to policies and standard operating procedures.
Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organize work so as to ensure smooth performance of assigned duties or tasks and to ensure that turnaround times for the reporting of results is achieved wherever possible.
