·         Receives instructions from supervisors about the repairs to be done.

·         Remove dents by hammering them out with special metal-working tools and then smoothing the hammered area by filing, grinding or sanding.

·         Use plastic or solder to fill dents that cannot be worked out of the metal.

·         Straightens bent frames, smoothes out dents and replaces crumpled parts that cannot be repaired.

·         Cut out damaged sections of vehicles and weld in replacements.

·         Reshape, smooth and repair damaged panels and plastic bumpers.

·         Weld to repair rust and damage panels, and to attach metal panels onto vehicles.

·          Align and repair body structures after major accidents.

·          Install window glass and windshields and remove and install body parts.

·         Removed badly damaged body areas with a cutting torch and a replacement fitted and welded into place.

·         Apply body filler to the panels and sand it back to the original shape.
