Krisfel John L. Silvestre is a second year Senior Associate in the Assurance practice of SGV & Co. / Ernst & Young Philippines. He joined the firm in November 2015 after passing the CPA board exam in October 2015. He graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Southern Luzon State University, with honorable mention distinction. He has over one year of in-depth experience in oil & gas, consumer products and retail and educational services industry. Currently, he is handling an oil & gas company which is reporting in accordance with US GAAP and under Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He has meaningful experience in the statutory audit of the companies reporting in the Philippines, Canada, United Kingdom, United States and Australia. His primary responsibilities include supervising, administering and coaching the staff, reviewing the work of his staff and ensuring quality in delivering client service by supervising the engagements, responding to client requirements and providing regular status to engagement executives, designing a risk-based audit procedures and work programs for the engagement to properly address the risks of material misstatements and preparing and reviewing financial statements, walkthroughs, test of controls, substantive procedures and other deliverables that are relevant to the audit.
