SCOPE OF WORK
The incoming Material Management Process
§ Ensures smooth and fast inward entry of incoming material along with accountability and results in better coordination with the vendor and end users
§ Comprises with the following activities:
Material Receipt:
§ Physical with the packages.
§ Unloading of the materials.
§ Checking of materials.
§ Process objectives are to be receive, identify, count and record incoming materials at the warehouse.
§ Familiar with SAP system for the daily material update.
Materials binning to the proper location based on the items volume, size, type & specification. Acknowledgement of receipt to transport driver.
§ Preparation of Goods Receipt/Inspection Note (GRN).
§ Material Inspection and Rejection Handling.
§ Inspection requirement shall be identified by the end user during creation of the material Master in SAP. Details of the identified inspection requirement shall be mentioned in PO text.
§ Item shall be identified in SAP based on those requiring only visual checking and those requiring detailed inspection
§ Visual inspection shall include matching of UOM part number and shall be carried out by the warehouse receiving staff. For the detailed inspection, end user or maintenance engineers shall be called as the case may be.
§ The warehouse receiving staff shall notify the buyer with complete discrepancy report through email for rejected materials with reason of rejection. Buyer shall liable the vendor to return/replace of rejected material.
§ Inspection and quality result recording.

§ Responsible for binning for all materials using forklift,sideloader,vna.
§ Uploading and updating right after the materials binning.
§ Perporms cycle count by physically checking and counting inventory materials
§ Conduct proper handling of the materials
§ Responsible for location arrangement of every materials or equipments.
§ Conduct housekeeping weekly.

§ Ensures that shipping and customers labels are correct and matches the labels on each over pack carton.
§ Pack and seals intermediate boxes into over pack cartons and damages/fillers are used to ensure protection while in-transit.
§ Perporms cycle count by physically checking and counting inventory materials as directed by the supervisor.
§ Ensures proper loading to LD3s.
§ Esures proper use and handling of equipments like hand pallets to warrant efficient warehouse operation.
§ Ensures an accident-free warehouse operation.
§ Opens and suggests process improvements with proper coordination to QA officers and supervisors to ensure with QA standards.
§ Works in accordance with accepted safety practices and standards established by DESC.
§ Reports unsafe conditions and practices by making suggestions for corrective or removal of accidents hazards.
§ Cooperates actively with the Safety Committee.
§ Ensures that all GWPs are consistently followed and housekeeping activities are kept in line with QA standards.
