Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Coordinates administrative stuff, appointments and other responsibilities for the publisher.

·         Answer phone calls and attend to them at once especially complaints, request for media coverage, etc.

·         Relay story assignments for the day, to reporters and photographers by text or phone .

·         Receive schedule of stories from the reporter/correspondents if the day desk comes in late or as needed.

·         Petty cash custodian – make petty cash disbursements and make weekly replenishment after approval by the editor-in-chief / Executive Editor
