I worked as a General Dental Practitioner at Genix Health Care, Leeds from December 2009 till December 2012. I mainly provided care for NHS patients but also carried out private dental treatment.

I have worked as a General Dental Practitioner under the NHS at Fen House Dental Practice, Spalding, from September 2008 to September 2009.  I worked alongside two other dentists, one of whom has mentored me to acquire VT equivalence. This job provided me with the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of NHS rules and regulations. It helped improve upon my clinical experience and also gave me the chance to learn from my more experienced colleagues.

ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES

I am currently doing an internship in the Department of Quality Control at NMC Royal Hospital after having completed a month’s observer ship in the same department last year. I have had a chance to understand accreditation procedures based on JCI guidelines, building KPI profiles, incident reporting, risk management, creating policies etc.

I have provided cover as Dental Practice Manager when needed. I am comfortable in managing patient appointment bookings, dealing with patient complaints, ensuring quality assurance around the practice, maintaining inventory and other administrative roles. As part of working in the NHS, UK, I had to deal with sending claims regarding dental work also known as Units of Dental Activity.
