GRINDING OPERATOR
JOB OBJECTIVE/MISSION:
The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of grinding machine and other tools used for removing excess metal from the casting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. 1. Grinds, aligns, polishes and smoothens inner and outer portion of assigned valve parts to free them from rough surfaces and inperfections.
2.Cleans and maintains assigned grinding machines and other tools
3. Hammers big valve parts to get rid of protruding rough surfaces whenever nessesary.S
4. Piles accomplished valve parts on the pallet for pick-up of forklift.
5. Safekeeps and maintains tools and other materials used in mold setting.
6 . Ensures safety in the performance of task.
7. Performs other duties that maybe assigned by the superior from time to time

MELTING OPERATOR
JOB OBJECTIVE/MISSION:
The position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of electric furnace such as MEDIUM FREQUENCY INDUCTION FURNACE / LOW FREQUENCY INDUCTION FURNACE and GAS FIRED CRUCIBLE used in melting of metals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I.
1. Prepares melting materials such as steel scrap, return scrap, ferro alloy, and non-ferrous materials used in melting operation.
3. Operates and maintains magnetic crane used in transporting of melting materials and charging.
4 .Operates and maintains the melting furnace and crucible heating furnace and its component.
5. Controls and computes melting charges, chemical composition, chill test result, tapping temperature and pouring temperature as per work instructions and melting procedure.
6. Operates and maintains furnace cooling system.
7. Removes or extracts impurities such as slug in molten metal, either in furnace.
8. Controls and maintains good arrangement of melting materials from scrap to ferro alloy and non-ferrous materials.
10. Keeps the working area clean at all times.
12. Records and accomplishes melting report from the start of material charging. Indicates the amount opf weight consumed, the parameter to be checked and items being poured. Submits report to Foundry Head.
13. Performs relining and sintering of furnace.
15. Maintains cleanliness and housekeeping of work area11
17. Ensures compliance to company’s management system and its continual improvement.
18.Operate and maintenance of deggaser machine

II. Knowledge Requirements:
– Basic understanding in machinery.
– Knowledge in sintering and relining of furnace and ladle.
– Knowledge in crane safety operation.

III. Skills Requirements:
– Ability to follow instructions and safety regulations.
– Ability to lift and carry loads.
– Ability to work with little supervision.
– Ability to operate melting furnace.
– Ability to perform simple mathematical operations.
– Ability to distinguish ferro alloy materials and its properties.
– Ability to understand and read the graph obtained by CE meter
