Assess patient cephalocaudally, physically, mentally and psychologically
Recognize and respect the dignity and confidentiality of all clients regardless of ethnicity and religious beliefs
Obtain health history and current health status
Provide admission care and explain the hospital routines
Carry out physician’s orders conscientiously such as medications
Maintain a safe and aseptic environment for the patient
Prepare patient for any procedure and assist physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Chart all procedures, treatments, medication and treatment made
Monitor vital signs and assess any deviations needing immediate nursing intervention prior to doctor’s referral
Report to physician any untoward reaction to treatment medication
