KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare and post payment vouchers for both suppliers and employees ( travel payment for employees and outstanding payments to suppliers for goods and service rendered)
-Ensure accurate and complete accounting records are kept by coding and filling payment vouchers, printing cheques, entering clients information to the FinMan and ACCPAC System for payments.
-Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for two (2) special programs, that accounts for the total amount of funds spent to date, the balance to be spent for the coming months and the approved funds for the financial period.
-Ensure cash is managed efficiently, economically and effectively to meet expenditures for each month
-Ensure that all accounting information is input in a timely manner to meet scheduled deadlines.
– Checking and certification of payment vouchers

– Prepared agreements between employees and employer for payments
– Calculate benefits according to labour law to identify total benefits owed
– Advised employees and Employers of their rights according to the Labour Law
– Schedule meetings to discuss benefit entitlements
– Attend Training Programmes
-Prepared monthly report of total benefits issued to employees and payments made voluntary or through the Ministry by employers
– Update client’s file with payments made and outstanding payments to date
– Make follow-up calls to employers regarding payment plans
– Advised employees when payments are ready for collection

– Reconcile expenditure and Jamaican Dollar Bank balances with United States advances given by international lending agencies
-Prepares and submits expenditure statement based on loan disbursement categories
-Updates lending agencies websites with relevant information
-Monitors expenditure of the project and grants to ensure compliance with procurement plan
