• Supervise the access control of the ship during day; supervise the Security Guards during gangway operation and the screening process.
• Responsible for the proper operation of all security equipment, ensure all are ready prior to gangway operation and conduct weekly maintenance of all security equipment; X-Ray Machine, Archway, HHMD, Explosive and Narcotic Detection Machine (SABRE 4000/5000) and CCTV.
• Enforce the Guest Conduct Policy, Crew Conduct Policy and actively assist ship’s management in conflict resolution.
• Patrol the ship during night time hours and implement the Master’s Rules and Regulation, company policy when it comes to security and safety related and conduct frequent security inspections on the crew quarters.
• Patrol public spaces, observe and provide quick assistance and guidance to guests, quickly defuse issues and conflicts involving guests or crew.
• Monitor the day/night security activities and prepare a log of activities during the night time hours for presentation to the Security Officer.
• Provide a highly visible security presence that enhances the overall guest vacation experience by reducing the frequency and/or severity of incidents.
• Responsible for deterring and/or effectively responding to shipboard incidents involving violation of the Guest Conduct Policy or other shipboard incidents.
• Respond in any emergency arise; fire, security threat, medical emergency, man over board and make a quick decision based on the experience and instruction from the Security Officer.
• Respond to passenger’s complaint, accident, incident and conduct a thorough investigation, preservation of evidence, interview the involved guest or crew and prepare reports of incident and documentations to be submitted to Global Security and Law Enforcement.
• Conduct training to security team in related to security advances and previous team experiences as directed by Security Officer.
• Preparing security schedule in compliance to company requirement, International Labor Organization and Maritime Labor Convention.
