Over nineteen years working experiences in Civil and Structural Construction Projects
including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, Building, dams and infrastructure
Projects. Job experience includes reinforced and pre-cast concrete (hot and cold
weather placing), structural steel fabrication and erection, industrial and residential
buildings, architectural finishing works, large retaining wall structures, boring and
concrete placement of secant piles, earthworks, pipelines, underground utilities and
asphalt/concrete roads. International work experience i.e. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya and Kazakhstan. Excellent in written and
verbal communication. Knowledge of Computer usage (Windows and excel).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as
per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.
• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at
any time.
• Produce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with the procurement
department to ensure site have adequate resources to complete the tasks.
• Check/review plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations and
ensure that all materials used and work performed is in accordance with the
specifications.
• Conduct supervision, inspection and surveillance for all the civil and structural
activities by implementing the Project Design and planning, Quality Control Plans
and Procedures in accordance with the Company QC procedures, International
standards and specific contract requirements.
• Coordinates with safety and operations departments and strictly adheres to work
permit system and coordinates with other departments regarding jobs that will
require involvement of other discipline area.
• Performs critical inspection of concrete slabs, foundations, columns, etc. Verifies
frame-work including correct rebar size, grade and spacing before pouring.
• Verifies and approves concrete batch plants, QA/QC procedures, quality and
proper techniques used in placing/pouring, curing and finishing operations.
• Approves inspection of excavation, backfill, and compaction operations and test
reports for acceptability.
• Prepare Daily Progress Report, detailing the work progress number of contractor
personnel and requirement available on site and other related items identified in
the scope of works.
• Promote HSE awareness and ensure that all project HSE requirements are
implemented and adhere to.
• Responsible for Structural fabrication and construction activities through the
Contractor’s supervision in respect of HSE, method, working practices, quality and
timely execution of the works.
• Monitors progress and performance of the Fabrication contractor to ensure that he
performs to the approved schedule, specification and standards.
• Monitor Fabrication Yard activities for potential contractual/claims problems.
Maintain records of site activities and check Contractor records for accuracy.
• Carry out supervision/inspection, surveillance witnessing of Fabrication
Subcontractor activities, ensuring records are maintained, including as-built data.
• Performs critical inspection of structural steel and steel frames erection to assure
bolt torque/tightening operations and those materials and construction meet design
and the client specifications.
• Approves inspection of concrete paving and all phases of asphalting including subbase/
base preparation, laying methods and procedures and compaction operations.
• Approves inspections of surface preparation and coatings for building and steel
structures surfaces.
• Participates in QA assessments for projects, cement plants and vendors.
• Reviews civil inspection related procedures and engineering documents.
• Generates and drafts inspection worksheets, recommendations and reports and
ensures updating inspection records, log books and management systems to
ensure inspection work and data are properly documented and saved.
• Witness field and laboratory testing of soil and concrete (Proctor Analysis,
gradation, cube crushing, FDT by Nuclear Gauge and etc.).
• Review of test result for rebar tension test, concrete/asphalt compressive test, soil
test, compaction test, steel/bolts/washers mill certificates and other required tests
for materials utilized on site.
• To ensure that steel structural erection complies with the project work procedures,
AFC drawings, specification and standard.
• Verify/check the calibration certificate of all tools and instruments used in site.
• Conduct materials receiving inspection for civil and steel structural material
delivered at site as per contractors Inspection Test plan.
• Attend daily Request for Inspection for the following civil works inspection items
(compaction testing, installation/fabrication of reinforcement bars for
slabs/columns/beams/Box culverts/foundations/retaining walls/
canals/sump/drainage/pre-cast, installation of anchor bolts, concrete pouring
operation, Pipe laying, sand bedding for pipe laying (D.I pipe/R.C pipe/Steel Pipe),
grouting works, boring for secant piles, secant piles concreting, piling of precast
reinforced concrete piles, integrity test for pre-cast reinforced concrete piles and
asphalting works.
• Attend daily Request for Inspection for the following steel structural inspection
items for steel structures, pipe-racks, pipe supports and pipe-bridges (verification
for the coordinates of the anchor bolts location, verification of the pad plates top
elevation, Steel structures alignment checking, bolts torque/tightening, erection of
steel structures levelness, installation of metal decking for concrete slab support,
installation of grating panels and handrails).
• Assist in the review and forward any comments on the contractor’s technical
submittals.
• Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor submissions,
shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters.
• Assist in the review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the
contractor.
• Inspect the work done by the contractor to ascertain that work is executed in
accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice.
• Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor claims for cost and/or
delay.
• Identify non- conforming works or materials, notify contractor and keep a record.
• Raise non-conformance reports, LBE’s and site inspection observations identify
quality deficiencies.
• Review the corrective actions proposed by the contractor, respond / follow ups and
close out procedure.
• Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor program of works.
• Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over
of the works.
• Monitor performance of the contractor and identify, raise any quality / workmanship
concerns.
• Update and maintain the latest revision of all project documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and maintain records.
• Prepare remaining works lists and punch lists and track works to completion.
• Identify any particular site safety issues and bring to the notice of the contractor
and client safety team.
