Duties and Responsibilities (Job Description)
Ensure all welding actions are accomplished in accordance in industry and standards, manufacturers, technical manual and the Key Performance Indicator(KPI,s)

Perform all welding position (Flat, Vertical, Horizontal, Overhead) using SMAW E-6011 electrode for penetration and E-7018 for capping.
Assigned in splicing and full welding of I-beams 20ft w x 22ft h x and 1 inch t, double v-cut is applied by oxy-acetylene cutting, a good cut is good for less grind, we fabricate A- frame and hook the chain block for lifting and alignment, in heavy welding it must be braced and fixed carefully to avoid war page or distortion, after welding it has to be grinded partially to produce quality weld inside and out.
We are also assign to go in the field site for installing after all the fabrication works have been done, We splice the I-Beams by bolting, I would weld I-lifter 3/8 thick x 4 inch L, I would bevel it to make sure even just single bevel, the I-Beams would be lifted (14inc W x 16inch H x ¾ inch thick) 30ft L and hook the shackle to the I-lifter, welding is critical during this lifting operation so right amperage and weld pudding technique is important.
We would fabricate column footer, if the I-Beam have the size of 3/8 inch T x 6inch W x 8 inch L, Braces for I-Beams, Beam cross, Beam support, by these pre-fabrication of trusses it would make us easy to assemble components of trusses, but we have to establish first the pedestal for column footer to have stable foundation we would use string to have square measure in each corner.
Welding series of trusses on the top of space frame and brazing it for strength, string is needed from end to end to make an straight alignment.
After a day of work I make sure that machine, tools and equipment to be switched off specially tank and hose to avoid disaster.
Must clean the area after work.
Work mainly in fabrication workshop and outside using TIG/ARC welding process.
