Duties and Responsibilities:

Hospital Setting

● Gives and receives nursing reports concerning clinical and administrative aspect of patient care.

● Assist the Most responsible Physician and or his team during rounds, examination/treatments and participates in the management and evaluation of patient condition.

● Regularly observes and evaluates symptoms, reactions and progress of the patient through accurate recording and in full awareness of its medico-legal implications.

● Plan and provide discharged teaching.

● Plans and evaluate nursing care.

● Teaches and directs nonprofessional and professional in execution of the assigned task.

● Render nursing care to meet the optimum physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual needs of the client.

● Carries out the necessary procedures required on admission, transfer in/out and discharge.

● Performs post mortem care.

● Admits patients and orient them to the hospital policies and objectives and prepare them for bed  take initial vital signs as baseline date, perform complete physics Examination; and report symptoms and condition of patients.

● Prepare the patients for at pre-operative procedure before operating room and monitor post-operative patients upon arriving from PACU up to discharge.

·         Administering nebulization via mechanical ventilator to intubated patients.

·         Performs full bath care and oral care to bedridden patients.

·         Assist in wound dressing and debridement aseptically.
