I am Matias Montot passionate about engineering design and construction, especially in innovation
projects.
About me
Since I was in high school, I used to work as an electrical and mechanical worker in small workshops.
After finishing the university, I started working in an engineering company, Inventu Ingenieria (ARG),
whose business is manufacture custom machines for industrial processes solutions where I’ve learned
and put into practice known skills and learned new ones. I continue to help them remotely on some
occasions.
In Inventu Ingenieria I started working in little projects developing machines and services to bring
solutions to our client’s problems. After a year I was working as a Project Manager in charge of both
small and medium projects, related to design, manufacture and commissioning with different kind of
clients as food industry, pharmacy, transportation among others.
After working for more than 3 years in Inventu Ingenieria I moved to INFYA (Siemens Solution
Partners-ARG) which is my actual job. Here I started as a Senior Design Engineer and after 6 months I
was promoted to Project Manager in which I’m in charge of big electrical construction projects.
Firstly, I need to help the sale department to achieve a competitive technical and economical offer. After
a project has been adjudged, I take full responsibility to carry on with it. Keeping open and constant
communication with the client I start to design the basic engineer in order to make the main purchase,
this part is critical in our country due to the long delivery times for the suppliers (especially with
imported parts) and the stretch deadlines.
Secondly, I need to make the final engineer in order to start the manufacture of electrical boards and
site construction. For this, I work with a team of auxiliary engineers as well as electrical workers on site.
Them I follow the project very closely with constantly site erection supervision as well in the workshop.
Finally, and follow by the FAT and/or SAT I start the commissioning with all the team and delivery the
responsibility to the client closing the project.
I’ve been working very hard in several big projects with different clients as cereal terminals (Exportation
Ports on the Parana River), mining industry, steel, nuclear, food, generation among others.
