Summer Internship Jun – Aug 2018 • Work on medium and low voltage in DG Cement Company Dera Ghazi Khan. . • Inspect records and communicate with plant personnel to assess the operating status of equipment. • Submit regulatory report based on readings from charts, meters and gauge at established intervals. • Learn the control of Generating Station equipment including boilers, turbines and generators from Central Control Room. • Control and maintenance of auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed-water heaters, filters to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air or auxiliary power. Academic Projects Design and Fabrication of Power System Trainer • Power is generated by 3 phase synchronous generator of 50Hz 2 pole 3000RPM 1100W 380V which is run by dc compound motor as a shunt dc motor. • Both motor and generator are excited by dc constant and variable power supplies. Generated electricity is synchronized with WAPDA at 380v 50 Hz and ABC sequence by manual 3 dark lamp method. • After sinking it with WAPDA net-metering and sharing load options are available and then it is transmitted by setup voltage up to 1kv by setup transformer and Pi transmission model. After that it is utilized by variable all combinations and individual inductive, capacitive and resistive types of loads. • Through utilization we determined stability, surge impedance loading, voltage regulation, transmission efficiency, power losses and issues of our designed power system. And remove them according to our professor’s advice and group research. We use earth breaker, grounding wire, emergency switch, low and high voltage relays to increase stability and protection of the power system. We also design a dc to dc buck boost converter to utilize power for dc loads up to 600w and .1-1kv. • It is use to train power and transmission engineers for different effect of load and parallel alternator connection by synchronization. Its covers generation, synchronization transmission and utilization of power. Black Jack Game This game played on table each table contains 2-8 player and each player is given 3 card from deck of 52-cards if the sum of points of one of the player cards is 21 or nearest to 21 then he will win won. Digital Dice This dice gives random number 1-6 like common dice. Automatic Egg’s Incubation This provide optimum temperature and humidity to eggs to hatch up to 95%. DC -DC Boost Converter This converter convert 24V dc up to 24-48V. And power rating for this converter is 600W-800w. Award & Achievements • On Dean’s Honor Roll in all Semesters. • I got Punjab Education and Endowment Fund Scholarship on merit and need basis. • I got Dalda Foundation Scholarship in intermediate on the base of written engineering competition test. • I got 1st position in 5th semester instrumentation lab project of automatic egg’s incubation. • I also got 1st position in junior year competition project of dc-dc boost converter.
