· Ensured products met required specifications through inspections and analysis of plant stream products such as Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gasoline Oil (AGO) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) using the following test parameters/methods viz; Flashpoint, viscosity, Reid vapour pressure (RVP), specific gravity, Pour point, Moisture content etc.

· Assisted in sampling and analyzing various gas samples using the Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and the Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD) gas chromatograph.

· Assisted in sampling and analyzing various parameters of the refinery water samples such as; phosphate (PO4), zinc, silica, iron, pH, conductivity, turbidity etc. using the UV/VIS spectrophotometer, pH meter, conductivity meter and colorimeter respectively.

· Skillful in sampling and analyzing all process chemicals such as; calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite, caustic soda, MEA, sulphuric acid, Catalyst, firefighting foam etc. Thus, ensuring non-conformity chemicals are identified and placed on restriction.

· Worked with department supervisors to help troubleshoot problems encountered with analytical methods and sampling testing.

· Drafted weekly and monthly report to senior managers on performance.

· Ensured that all quality control tests are carried on time and in full.
