Summary of Key Responsibilities

(1) Developing, designing, evaluating and enriching courses at Karakorum International University since 2008 in areas of teacher education such as Critical Thinking & Reflective Practice, Educational Leadership & Management, School Improvement, Philosophy of Education, Curriculum Development, Assessment & Evaluation, Approaches to Teaching, Advanced/Qualitative Research, Organizational Behaviour, & Educational Technology, etc.;

(2) Teaching of both in service and pre-service teachers who are coming from multi-ethnic and multi-cultural identity backgrounds;

(3) Supervising research students at undergraduate, graduate and M.Phil level; working closely with practicum students (teaching practice in schools) by mentoring, monitoring and evaluating their academic activities;

(4) Working with research and development related teams/committees to establish a culture of research and innovation in the field of educational development in line with inter/national and ‘glocal’ perspectives;

(5) Establishing linkages within and other institutions to improve practices of teaching, research and institutional improvement;

(6) Ensuring the alignment between organizational strategic directions and priorities with those of personal-professional educative endeavors and available/required resources;

(7) Establishing standards, self-evaluation mechanisms, and accountability measures to improve practices at a personal and institutional level;

(8) Engaging in an outreach collaborative leadership role with community-level educational development initiatives to establish university and community linkages; and

(9) Working external monitoring and evaluation of projects/programs expert (e.g., FIPD programs) under Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy)
