Professional Summary
C  I have a wide range of experiences in Human Resource Planning, Performance Management, Organizational System and Capacity Development, Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning, Basic Human Resource Management and Management Development, Human Resources and Organizational Development (HROD), Change Management and organizational reform implementation, planning and report writing, project management, Operational Management of various developmental programs/projects. I have also a good experience in project start-up and project close-out HR related activities effectively.

C  Currently I am working in FHI 360-Ethiopia as a Human Resources Manager, engaging mainly in the adaptation and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and systems for the management of human resources and administration and serving as an advisor to the Country Director and SMT (Leadership Team) on updated laws and regulations governing NGOs in the areas of HR, and administrative matters and take initiatives to ensure national office compliance. I am also a member of the SMT (Senior Managerial Team or Leadership Team). Currently, I have also participated and have led different Project close-outs and New Project Start-up activities effectively including best and fast recruitment.

 

C  Moreover; I am also engaged in  different human resources activities like handling all the recruitment  steps up to scheduling and giving induction ; updating, following and tracking staff history control database; writing report to the Head Quarter office and policy revising;  negotiating, following and renewing contracts with project engineers, consultants and employees; facilitating and planning training and developments in different departments within the organization; and over all follow up of  staff benefit administration process  like pension follow up, annual leave, medical, PF payment request follow up, insurance etc….

C  Previously, I used to work in ActionAid-Ethiopia as a Human Resources and Organizational Development Officer, engaging in the same HR activities that most NGO’s practicing. Other than this, I was highly involving and participating in the Organization’s Women Forum by facilitating and giving trainings to women staffs.

C  I used to work in JaRco Consulting as a Human Resource Manager, engaged mainly in leading and coordinating the various human resources activities, providing the right person for the right position (Recruitment and Selection of national and international staff), and providing staff development activities.

C  While working in JaRco Consulting, I have developed a new HR Manual and Annual Performance Appraisal (APA) System for the company. I have also applied an electronic finger print time control management system. I am also involved in providing various types of trainings which are appropriate to the staff.

C  When I was in Unity University, I used to evaluate existing course curriculum and course modules, design a new course module (eg. A course module for Business Communication for the TVET Program), participate in preparation of distance learning materials, and evaluate it and give feedback to trainees.

C  Organizing, coordinating, collecting, compiling, consolidating and analyzing data to conduct research works in communication skill area.

Other Technical Skills
C  Good knowledge of the country’s labor law, Ethiopian GTP & MDG, Charity and Civil Society Agency proclamations and its requirements, Private and NGO Pension Proclamations; and excellent experience and knowledge of Ethiopian Regulations on Immigration in processing and facilitating the work permit and residence permit for foreign staff.

C  Good communication skill in the recruitment and selection process with both national and international candidates.

C  Good skill in both quantitative and qualitative research method and very good skill in basic computer application for it mainly SPSS, Excellent skill of proposal development and report writing;
