The Internship was an opportunity to learn entrepreneurial skills as an Agriculturalist to compete favorably in the labour market
• Produce ad-hoc reports and documents for senior team member
• Ensure proper organization and synchronization of all activities relating to voting
• Verifying Data integrity and accuracy
• Obtaining documents, clearances, Certificates and approvals from local, state and federal agencies.
• Production and dissemination of materials used in sensitizing the public about the voting exercise.
• Responded to public requests via telephone and email.
• Prepare lesson plans on topics such as plant science and technology in farming.
• Assisted in developing student-led after school tutoring program to teach under-privileged students.
• Maintained a school garden to involve students in growing various crops, flowers and other greenery.
• Instituted mentoring program between year 9 and Year 12 grade students, Increasing student development and enthusiasm for learning.
• Planned and executed activities to promote agriculture and community development.
• Provided information about available program resources and applicable services.
• Empowering youths about farming and fishing techniques.
• Worked with program supervisors to implement changes and better serve target groups.
• Contribute to the promotion of extension reforms and capacity development for partners with special attention to market-oriented, and participatory approaches that meet the diverse needs of smallholders and rural people, especially women and marginal groups.
• Provide support in the organization and delivery of technical workshops, consultations, seminars and training sessions on conceptual and practical aspects of extension and rural knowledge institution improvements.
