Duties

 

·         Coordinate with the health facilities selected by Department of Health, Philippines to be assessed, particularly with the Pediatrics and Obstetrics Departments, Chief Nurses and Hospital Administration for the conduct of the Essential Intrapartum and Newborn Care (EINC) and Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) practice and skills assessments.

·         Assist the WHO Mother and Child Health (MCH) Technical Officer and the Department of Health Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Programme Officers for the preparation of logistics and communications to the participating hospitals and the facilitators.

·         Assist in the synthesis of data collected from the facilities and identification of problem.

·         Assist the Regional Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Coordinator and Head of the Family Health Cluster of Department of Health Region XI in providing technical and field support to the Accelerating Convergence Efforts through Health Systems Strengthening or  AcCESS  for maternal and newborn health     partner sites in MNCHN-related   component of the project, facilitating ownership to ensure sustainability of the work beyond the project life.
