Experience

2017 to Date CREDIT SUPERVISOR at Visionfund uganda

1. Ensuring that both group and individual loan officers meet their clients target through;

Regular meetings with the Branch Manager to identify and propose solutions to issues that may affect meeting of targets.
• Developing and executing plans that will allow the branch to achieve their targets and implement strategies set by the institution.
• Meeting with clients to identify their needs, demands and satisfaction with VFU individual and group loan products.
• Verification of data collected from customers
• Organising credit sensitization seminars and information dissemination for existing and potential borrowers.

2. Loan appraisal and approval process through;
• Participating in the credit committee meeting as per policy,
• Conducting GRTs on behalf of the branch manager.
• Following up on pending files differed on various aspects.
• Sanctioning of loan files and ensures quality data entry and consistence of information both on hard copy and soft copy.

3. Loan approval disbursement through;
• Ensuring that disbursement targets are met.
• Reviewing entries and of loans sanctioned in credit committee.
• Ensuring that only accurate data is captured in the system.
• Ensuring that all clients’ data is fully up dated in the system before disbursement.
• Verifying and disbursing loans approved by the credit committee.

4. Portfolio Management through;
• Organizing delinquency review meetings and follow up actions.
• Conducting immediate follow ups of all late payments, observing a policy of zero tolerance for delinquency.
• Reviewing of edging reports and draws strategies of addressing all migrating loans from one bracket to another bracket.
• Managing of default cases with external debt collectors as required.

5. Branch supervisor, staff mentoring, audit and compliance by ensuring that audit and compliance reports are discussed after 7 days and 3 days respectively after the said reports are out.

6. Verifying of original documents with photo copies on the client file before sign off for storage, coordinating with legal for mortgages, commissioning and caveating securities etc.

7. Cash management and end of day closure through managing treasury cash in and flow, verifying cash payments, printing mobile money report and reconciles it with MM loan repayments daily

8. Compiling monthly CWB reports, social performance reports with World Vision and other partners as per reporting Standards.

9. Ensuring staff training with customer care skills and understanding of it and able to communicate the VFU brand to customers and applying it consistently in their daily activities.

• Conducts market research and survey activities through marketing campaigns to attract new clients and orienting prospective clients about VFU’s loan products.
• Receiving loan applications and perform credit appraisal on loan applicants and his/her surety if any and inspecting appraisal of any property being offered as collateral.
• Conducting regular visits to clients and build strong relations with them before, during and after the disbursement while closely monitoring loan payments and ensuring zero tolerance against past due.
• Supporting other loan officers in delinquency crisis.
