More than ten years of experience in accounting and auditing fields, I possess through knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (SLAS/SLFRS, SLAuS), corporate income tax filing, VAT filing, NBT filing, ESC fillings, general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance, preparation of bank & inventory reconciliations, risk evaluation of control environment and implementing controls to manage those risks and treasury management activities.

Currently I am working as a Deputy Manager financial Analytics in Midas Safety Inc. My main duties in there are finding ways and means to minimise production cost and implement budgetary controls. My key contributions to organisation so far are preparation of annual budget, monthly management accounts and board pack.

I was working as a risk and treasury manager at IDEAL Finance Limited before join to Midas Safety. Preparation of monthly cash flow forecast according to the annual budget and monitor the daily cash flows to ensure to prevail healthy liquidity level, negotiating with banks to acquire favorable credit lines, evaluate the operational efficiency through net interest margin (NIM), monitor and manage the risk through risk and credit committees key contributions of this role.

Prior to work in Ideal Finance Limited, I was working as a senior business and financial analyst at Emjay International (Pvt) Ltd.Overall responsibility on maintaining accurate cost and revenue data in the IFS system, in order to manage cost of sales effectively, lies with the business and financial analyst. Identifying ways and means to reduce cost of production and increase the product margins are the key objectives of the position.

As a Fund Accountant at HSBC, I was responsible for preparing financial statements of alternative and traditional funds established in HongKong region in order to ensuring stakeholders of investment portfolios are aware of their financial position on an ongoing basis to make meaningful financial decisions. In this position I have gained a thorough knowledge of investment and fund management industry. My role included communicating with investment managers and external auditors to resolve their queries on financial information, doing continues researches on statutory and new regulatory requirements and new accounting pronouncements which are applicable to funds. Further I posses sound knowledge on end to end fund accounting and administration process, IFRS 39, 13, 9, 7.

As a senior accountant at Ernst & Young, I have involved in planning and execution of statutory audits in service providing sector, hospitality sector, manufacturing sector & finance sector companies. as a senior accountant, managing a audit team to achieve objectives of a statutory audit with in a limited time period is a challenging task to overcome. So I retain necessary skills, capabilities and experience to thrive a team to achieve organisational objectives in a pressurised dynamic environment.

I have solid education in finance and accounting with a Bachelor in Science Accounting (special) – Accredited by CPA and I have also completed extensive professional development through Chartered Accountancy of Sri Lanka. Further I’m pursuing MSc. applied finance in University of Sri Jayawardenepura.

In addition to my accounting and management abilities, I possess excellent technical skills and I’m proficient in essential computer software, including IFS, SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Geneeva.
