Primary Functions: Production Engineering

• Developing of efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to make quality product on time and meet demand.
• Maintain safety and 5’S environment by enforcing procedures, safety rules, work procedure, work instruction sheet and control plan.
• Complete capacity analysis to identify headcount, equipment and space requirements.
• Perform line balancing analysis to identify optimal staffing plans for production lines as demand fluctuates.
• Conducting Cp & Cpk study to find out the performance & health of machine and apply DMAIC approach to solve any problem found in there and take maintenance action.

• Creation of standardize storage facilities and FIFO arrangement for Local and CKD Store – Lay outing, calculation of racks for FIFO, stacker selection, procurement of heavy duty racks, design & fabrication of special purpose rollers rack.
• Assembly lines for Shock Absorber and Manufacturing lines for spring- Design process layout with concept of muda, mura and muri, reducing manpower, reducing production lead time by using VSM concept.

• Capex and Budgeting-Develop Capital Expenditure Budget (CAPEX), includes Investments related to Plant, Machineries and Equipment which ensures smooth achievement of production targets for existing and new products.
• Make feasibility for Investments in Production Plants and Machinery.
• Supervised mechanical design of facility, inspected layout, equipment arrangement and plant utilities.
• Plan, execute, co-ordinate and monitor project activities for the execution of CAPEX.
• Responsible for defining standard engineering principles and specifications to meet project requirements.
• Prepare quarter-wise financial monitoring report of CAPEX for board meeting.
• Prepare and present internal progress reports for weekly meetings.

Process Improvement:

• Perform Process Capability (Cp & Cpk) analysis for critical operations machines and leads the improvement projects for problematic processes through 6 SIGMA DMAIC strategies.
