To whom it might concern

My name is Lucia Cortes.  I live in Mexico . Spanish is my mother language.  I finished General Education or high school in Mexico. I had the chance to go to college in the USA where I studied French.

I have been working as an English Teacher since 1991. I am working  at an Official Elementary School as well as in Kinder Garten level in the state of Queretaro, in Mexico. During my early years as a teacher I  had the opportunity to teach in Junior- High school and High school level at private school. I have also been a professor at   “Escuela Normal  del Estado” . It is a public institution for those who want to become  teachers, at University level. In the same institution I had worked with post graduated teachers who want to obtain a Master Degree.

I have developed several duties that gained me a lot of experience. At early age I used to help my parents cultivating corn and taking care of animals at our farm. Since  I was a kid our family used to grow corn in a field and so we keep on doing it up to now. Every year we get together to plant and harvest all kind of vegetables as well as grains in order to feed some sheep. We also have some dogs, rabbits as well as hens and chicks .A few years ago we used to have and feed cows as well..

While I was in college I had the opportunity to work as a cashier at a restaurant and I used to host  costumers  which gave me  high quality experiences . I used to Be  customers first contact,  welcoming guests , everything  in a professional, courteous maner. Duties of this position include, but were not limited to: answering the telephone  greeting and supporting customers needs, taking orders .I also  did some job at different factories in the production and manufacture area.

Since the beginning of my working days I have been handling all type of situation. Taking care of an entire house in the cleaning and maintenance such as painting, repair using concrete, cutting the grass among others. I even had the chance to take care of a lady who was blind and helped her with housekeeping. Later on I  used to take  care of an old lady with a terminal stage  cancer She used to be my aunt . I took care of her until her dead . Years  after  I took care of another very loved relative . She used to suffer mental sickness. My heart is in peace because until her last day I gave her so much love.

I have two sons . One of my sons is 21 years old  and the other one is 19.I love  working with people. Helping people to achieve their goals is a great satisfaction for me. . Being in touch with a lot of people is very common in my daily activities.     I really like practicing sports. I am able to play volleyball  in a good level. . Most of all I like  running . I had the opportunity to be a member of the track and field team while I was in college. In my opinion to be active is very important to achieve a healthy  and better  life.
