Position: Head of Advocacy Department
The Advocacy Department comprises of representatives from Federal Ministry of Justice, Open Government Partnership, National Assembly, Law Enforcement Agency including EFCC & ICPC. They have been represented at various stages in the legislative processes at the National Assembly including public hearing and several advocacy engagements. The Advocacy department is supported by EU rule of Law, anti-corruption programme and DFID of British Embassy. We deal with bills and we review bills with all the above stakeholders. The department is under the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee. The Unit is tasked with:
Advocating for the amendment of the Anti-corruption laws.
Taking proactive steps to advocate for greater cooperation among all stakeholders for the passage of Anti-corruption bills.
Facilitate a forum to adopt strategy to fast track Anti-corruption bill that will be reintroduced in the ninth assembly.
Day to day meetings and follow-up on the Anti-corruption bills in the National Assembly.
Stakeholder’s round table on the advocacy of the passage of Anti-corruption bills.
Validation meeting on the passage of Anti-corruption bills.
Retreat for the clean-up process of the Anti-corruption bills.
Harmonization workshop on the Anti-corruption bills.
CSOs/Media engagement on the Anti-corruption bill.

The Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee is a unit in the Justice Sector Reform. It has a secretariat located in wuse zone 5 in the old high court building. It is headed by the Acting Secretary Mr sulayman Dawodu. The Unit is tasked with developing and implementing a broad-based reform program for the justice sector in Nigeria. The programme is funded by International Development and is managed by the ROLAC
Key Task includes:
Carry out the daily administrative work in the Justice Sector Reform Secretariat
Assist the ACJMC Team Leader/Secretariat in implementing specific commitments in the Work-Plan during implementation period, including organizing tours, welfare etc;
Assist the ACJMC Team to keep records of events, reports and correspondence by maintaining appropriate records.
Maintain various files in relation to activities within the Justice Sector Reform Team including: copies correspondence, reports, key dates diaries, review dates, visitors book etc
Ensure smooth running of the office and efficient working of appliances and hardware in the office.
Assist in convening the meetings of the ACJMC Team and meetings of the Heads of relevant Justice Institutions;
Assist in the convening of various conferences and workshops as well as Stakeholders’ Round Table on ACJMC at the Federal and Zonal levels;
Develop and maintain the database (manual and e-copies) of all national and international development partners, working group members, civil society and private sector organizations.
Arrange the cleaning of office and maintain record of office equipment.
Assist the Secretariat in maintaining a record of all expenses, and procurements
Responsible for the dispatch of letters, parcels and other correspondence.
Any other tasks assigned by the ACJMC Team Leader.

The Justice Sector Reform Unit located in the Federal Ministry of Justice. It is headed by the Special Adviser to the President on Justice Sector Reforms, Mrs Juliet Ibekaku. The Unit is tasked with developing and implementing a broad-based reform program for the justice sector in Nigeria. The programme is funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development and is managed by the British Council.
Key Tasks Include:

Assist the JSR Team Leader/Secretariat in managing the office itinerary, arranging and prioritising appointment.
