DUTIES
1. To be responsible for the delivering of high standards of holistic care and service to the patients. This includes the appropriate assessment and evaluation of care in keeping with:

Duties:
§ Admissions of patient into the unit.
§ Counsel patient and relatives about sudden change of lifestyle and importance of treatment.
§ Teach patient on the care of catheter, fistula and diet.
§ Take blood for Hepatitis screening, HIV, Urea and Electrolytes and full blood count monthly.
§ Perform sterile procedures using asceptic technique.
§ Switch on water treatment plant and dialysis machines
§ Check the patient’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature and weight before dialysis.
§ Connect the patient to the machine
§ Monitor the patient and do machine observations throughout dialysis.
§ Manage complications as they arise during dialysis, for example, Hypertension and Hypoglycaemia.
