Objective
My objective is to improve the conservation of our resources using the skills I have learned and practised over the years at different organisations.

Irrigation Engineer

Key Responsibilities :
Calculated the soil and water levels required for the adequate design of irrigation systems.
Responsible for quality control on sugar cane harvest covering 20,000 acres; moving 6,00,000 tons of sugarcane with trucks and railroad in 90 days.
Saved $40,000 per outage by finding alternate vendor to inspect and repair pumps. Supervise installation of irrigation and drainage systems.
Coordinated the repair and improvement of all water utilities and related systems including: pumps and piping. Also maintained the waste water facility.
Provided scientific management (salinity management and irrigation scheduling) for over 4,000 acres of various sugarcane types.
DuPont Pioneer Seed Conditioning Plant, Zimbabwe
Maintenance Engineer Trainee
January 2014- February 2015
Key Responsibilities:
Followed and performed regular and preventative maintenance schedules on all of our equipment: motors, bearings, bucket elevators, hydraulics, pumps, compressors, drag and screw augers.
Provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled repairs of production equipment. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and supervise contractors used during special circumstances such as shutdowns.
Saved over $95,000 per outage by becoming motor rewinding expert. No longer required to always buy new electric motor.
Perform root-cause analysis with excellent written and oral communication skills to resolve technical problems in the plant. Install new electrical equipment such as motors, controls, instrumentation.
Determines the amount of contractors needed to work during down times in order not to exceed budget saving upto $75,000 annually in reduced maintenance costs.
