WORK EXPERIENCE
MAY 2019 TO PRESENT
I started working with the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa as a stock controller in the Pharmaceuticals Store at the Materials Management Division (MMD) and my duties are as follows;
1. Inventory Movement
Accurate and timely issuance of goods as per user’s requests.
Verify goods received from the receiving team into the allocated store.
Ensure that movement of goods is as per FEFO (First expiry, First out) for batched items and FIFO for non-batch items.
Contribute in achieving the stock days, fill rate and Issue TAT (Turn around Time) targets for the allocated stock location.
Recommend optimum quantities of items to be purchased. Ensure that there are no stock-outs by pre-empting the purchaser on items running low on stock.
Highlight slow moving, non-moving and overstocked items.
2. Stock Take Variances and Expiry Monitoring
Conduct daily random counts as per set procedure.
Monitor expiries as per the set procedure.
Participate in the quarterly/ half yearly stock takes. Timely submissions of stock take variance explanations.
Minimize stock take variances to less than ± ve 1% of the inventory holding, per annum
3. Goods Safety and Quality
Ensure goods are arranged neatly/systematically and are easily identifiable and traceable. Maintain updated warehouse directory for easy identification of items on the shelves.
Ensure the quality and safety requirements are adhered to that is room/fridge temperature and humidity monitoring, movement of cold chain products, segregation of expired items, and safe storage of items.
4. Any other duties within the scope that relate to my profession that may be assigned by my Head of department.

I am graduate of logistics and supply chain management. During my study period I gained vast knowledge of the logistics and supply chain processes that enable seamless flow of goods and they entail; order processing, order picking and fulfillment, warehousing, receipt, dispatch and transportation and scrap and waste disposal.
