OR Complex is consists of Operating Room (Major and Minor), Recovery Room, Delivery Room and Nursery Room.Weekly rotation of shifts is being practiced in the Department. We are responsible for delivering nursing cares to patient within assigned areas.
In this complex, our roles and responsibilities include but not limited to a Circulating Nurse, Instrument Nurse and the First Assist of the Surgeon.
Most of our patients for general operation include Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia Repairs, Hemmorrhoidectomy, Exploration Laparotomy, Ceasarian Sections, TAHBSO to name a few, and minor cases like Incision and Drainage.
This area also accommodates internal visualizations such as Endoscopy.
It caters OB-Gyne cases like NSVD, Tubal Ligations, Dilatation and Curettage, and monitoring of preterm labors and pre-eclamptic mothers. In the Nursery, we are responsible for Newborn Care, receiving neonates, documentations, Newborn Screening Program and vaccinations.
Newborn Screening Coordinator

Performs newborn screening test to every babies either in-patient or out-patient basis. Explaining the procedure to every parent and informing them about the importance of Newborn Screening. Relaying of results to parents once it is available and coordinating to National Institute of Health (NIH) if an abnormality was noted.
