Job Description:
Ø Manage /supervise the health and safety team and relevant inspections, risk assessments and analysis in order to ensure compliance of project work (offshore/onshore), work sites(offshore/onshore), workshop, and employees with MESB SDN BHD (Formerly SKS Sdn.Bhd.) health and safety standards.
Ø Day-to-Day Activities:
Manage/supervise day-to-day activities, providing health and safety advice to MESB workers and staff, encouraging teamwork, facilitating related professional work processes, and resolving any escalated issues in order to ensure that work is correctly prioritized and completed as per procedures, standards, and departmental requirements.
Ø Environmental Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety procedures, standards, controls and systems across SKS projects to guarantee employee health and safety, production safety, compliance with requirements, and a responsible environmental attitude.
Ø Risk Assessments:
Implement techniques and other analyses to assess health and safety risks in order to identify and prevent hazards that may lead to significant losses and forward this information to the Senior Manager – HSSE and concerned parties to minimize risks.
Ø Inspections:
Manage /supervise inspections of all work sites(onshore/offshore) , warehouses as well as fabrication yard and carry out periodic inspections in workshops areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and identify non-compliance, unsafe practices and conditions.
Ø Non-Compliance:
Report all non-compliance, unsafe practices, conditions, acts and near misses to management and to the concerned department, as and when required, in order to resolve the issues and prevent recurrence.
Ø Incident Investigation and Analysis:
Lead or participate and follow-up on investigations of all health and safety-related incidents including near-misses in order to identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive action.
Contribute to the analyses of incidents and identify trends, vulnerabilities and liabilities that may be avoided by preventive techniques and procedures.
Ø Training and Awareness:
Provide appropriate health and safety training/HSE induction, Monthly HSE Meeting and HSE awareness in order to maintain and increase readiness and competency of personnel to respond to any emergency or safety hazard.

Job Description (as a Safety Officer)
