JOB DESCRIPTION:
As General Machinist I always follow blue print drawing. I fabricate punch shell for double die, selecting of materials,we use bohler high grade steel because it is an annealed materials which can harden the spare parts.Cutting of materials by using power hacksaw machine. And then,we start for lathe machine operation.,conventional and manual operation for turning ,facing, drilling and reboring operation.Drilling operation and tapping for bolt hole holder. In measuring instruments I used digital caliper, outside micrometer, inside micrometer, dial bore gauge. For centering of the work piece we use surface gauge and dial indicator. And then, for hardening operation we use furnace machine, quenching oil and rock well hardness tester using diamond blade, and follow material harness chart procedures after hardening we do tempering for the punch shell and it must grind finish of spare we fabricate and final measurement.
•In Fabrication of bushing/split bushing,I always follow blue print drawing and select materials for bushing,we use manganese bronze and royal tiger bronze and then cutting of material using power hacksaw.Lathe machine operation that involves turning, facing, cutting using cut off tool, drilling, and reboring.I put internal groove for grease lubrication.I use measuring instruments like outside micrometer, inside micrometer and dial bore gauge and telescopic gauge. In centering of work piece I use dial indicator and surface gauge.
•Fabrication of spline shaft for main drive of gear box and fabricating of spur gear.Selection of materials of main drive spline shaft and spur gear,we need a high carbon steel like bohler high grade steel.Cutting of materials using power hacksaw.Machining operation using lathe machine, manual and conventional for turning, facing, drilling and reboring for spur gear.Milling operation for spline gear tooth cutting and using dividing head to divide of how many gear tooth of spline and spur gear.Shaper operation for spur gear how to make an internal key way. Drilling and tapping for internal key way set screw. I use measuring instruments like outside micrometer, inside micrometer, digital caliper, gear tooth caliper. To harden the spare parts I use furnace machine ,quenching oil and then tampering spare parts. Then, grinding for final measurement.
•Recond of carbide die cut edge using surface grinder we use diamond wheel.
•Reprofile of welding roll upper roll, lower roll for soundronic machine using reprofiling machine.
•Conduct test run with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, make adjustment necessary.
•Cut,shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes using power saw, power shear and hand tools.
•File, grind, shim and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.
•Fit and assemble parts to make repair, modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.
•Lift position and secure machine parts on surface plates or worktables using hoist,vises,v-blocks or angle plates.
•Select metals to be used from a range of metals and alloys based on properties such as hardness and heat tolerance.
•Set up and operate conventional, lathes, milling machines and grinders to cut, bore, grind,or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
•Set up and operate drill press, radial machine to drill and tap holes in parts for assembly.
•Smooth and polish flat and contoured surfaces of parts or tools using scrapers, abrasive stones, files, emery cloths or assemblies.
•Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.
•Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.
•Cast plastic tools or parts or tungsten-carbide cutting tips using pre-molds.
•Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in the fabrication of parts or products.
•Set pyrometer controls of hear-treating furnaces, and feed or place parts, tools,or assemblies into furnaces to harden.
•My job activities includes handling and moving objects-using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials and manipulating things.
•Controlling machines and processes-using either mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
•Performing General Physical Activities-performing physical activities that require considerable use of my arms and legs and moving my whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.
•Getting Information-Observing,receiving,and obtaining information from all relevant sources.
•Checklist machine equipment and identify the cause of errors or other problem.
•Leadman in Can Plant Department specifically in End Can Making
•My specialization specifically in fabricating end cans, over hauling of end can machine and conduct change over.
•Follow standard specification measurements before we start to run for production.
•The 3 process of flow in end can making begins in coil line and cut the scroll sheet, scroll shear cut into strips for double die press.
•I am the one to set up of coil line shearing cutter, scroll shearing cutter and set up double die press tooling.
•I conduct change over from double die press, liner machine, scroll shear and coil line.
•I conduct every hour end can monitoring measurement and compound application if there is a compound problem we conduct an adjustment to meet standard specs. so that we can produce a good quality end cans.
•Set up and installed punch and die of CNC,auto sheet feed machine and rotary liner machine.
•Conduct Q/A monitoring every shift ,fill up Q/A form for end can tolerance from outside curl diameter, curl height, counter sink depth, chuck fit, hardness, end bead profile and base weight.
•Conduct Q/A monitoring for every shift ,fill up Q/A form for tin plate coil cutting tolerance, squareness shear length, index tab bow/wave,burr for double reduce and single reduce.
•Set up transfer conveyor from curler rotary machine.
•Report to my supervisor if there is an irregularities in machining process.
•When you produce an end cans it is necessary to put a production tag to determine of how many ends in one pallet.
