JOB DESCRIPTION
Position : Labor Escalation Committee Member
Following up of status of Labor Escalation Claims of all projects.
Assist projects in claiming for the Labor Escalation as mandated by the Government based on the various contracts of each project.

1. Re-estimate of quantities for all items stated in Bill of Quantities.
2. Cutting list of rebars for beams & slabs.
3. Sourcing-out of subcontractors for specialty works including evaluation of cost proposals.
4. Gathering of data and necessary documents for the computation of all jobsite charges due to other trade contractors and direct subcontractors, i.e. power consumption, water charges, labor charges, equipment charges, etc.
5. Door and door hardware schedule
a. Preparation of door and door hardware schedule in coordination with Owner’s Architect.
b. Submission of samples and shop drawings for approval of Owner’s Architect.
c. Upon approval of the Architect, requisition of the approved material and coordination with the Suppliers.
d. Monitoring of delivery and issuances of materials as requested by the project staff.
6. Material Requisition
a. Preparation of Bill of Materials for specific work item, preparation of requisitions and coordination negotiation with the Suppliers regarding on costs and delivery.
7. Change Orders
a. Taking note of each additional item on every plans issued by the Architect and Consultants and verification thru Field Instructions (FI). Upon verification, issuance of Job Order to Operations Department for their implementation.
b. Estimate, preparation and submission of cost proposal for all additional items to Construction Manager including sourcing out of Subcontractor’s proposal for all specialty works and derivation of cost for new items not included in Original Contract.
c. Reconciliation with Owner’s Quantity Surveyor. Follow up issuance of Work Authorization Orders and Change Order Documents from the Construction Manager in order for the additional work to be billed thru Progress Billing.
d. Monitoring of all Change Orders thru preparation of tracking list including those for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Sanitary works and other Specialty works nominated by the Owner to the General Contractor.
8. Preparation and submission of comprehensive worksheet for Progress Billing including monitoring sheets for each work item and other billing requirements as stated in the contract. Eventually, reconciliation and justification of billing with Owner’s Quantity Surveyor and follow up of payment for due billings.
