My last boss once told me that my conversation manner could diffuse an international crisis. I’ve always had a knack for communicating with people and I’d love to bring that skill to the Digital Marketing Specialist position for Edmonton Public Library.
In a nutshell, I’m a creative and enthusiastic content creator that specializes business communications and marketing with advanced analysis, editing, and researching skills. I have honed these abilities in an academic and professional career that includes communications, marketing, and finance experience, as well as an education in English literature and Business Management. EPL’s dedication to delivering the highest quality products and services is aligned with my own values and interests, and I am excited for an opportunity where my abilities and experience will thrive in an organization that prides itself in providing quality services while maintaining a positive and active social presence within the community.

 

I have promoted and marketed different organizations by launching several social media pages (Facebook, Twitter), ensuring the media outlets are kept up to date, and coordinating special events. As a result of marketing and communications campaigns, we have observed an increase in membership and clients as well as an increase in website engagement. Additionally, I have exceptional writing skills, as well as experience with the latest marketing and communication strategies from creating and maintaining multiple marketing and budget projects for the Ontario Road Builders’ Association. These skills will contribute greatly to the success of an effective marketing platform for EPL and the organization’s purpose to the community. I am fluent in English and Spanish in order to reach out to a variety of people. I am also comfortable using many different computer programs and operating systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and MailChimp, therefore I am able to ensure web pages and social media sites have the most current and captivating marketing content.
