At the moment I work as a Senior Manager TVET in Education of Youth Empowerment (EYE) program of Save the Children in Bangladesh. As a Senior Manager, I demonstrate leadership in all our work, embodies our values, and articulates a compelling vision to inspire others to achieve our goals. I used to take personal responsibility and holds others accountable for delivering our ambitious goals, continually improving own performance or that of the team. Developing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) strategy of Save the Children in Bangladesh, Coordination with all key stakeholders for implementing of TVET project activities, lead in assessment of potential partner organizations for implementing TVET projects, technical and capacity building support to the partners, monitor the project result and activities including development of result monitoring system and reporting to the donors are my key areas of working. I used to develop the strategy to improve the quality and relevance of TVET system and its management in coordination with National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) and Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
As a TVET professional, I lead on interventions for Competency-Based Training (CBT) in different sector including pedagogy training for the instructors, career counselling to the trainees, facilitate the process of Registered Training Organization (RTO) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment center. I provide technical assistance to the partner NGOs for implementing vocational training programs. I used to lead and do the development and review of curriculum, competency based learning materials (CBLMs), job sheets, unit delivery plans, session plans, workplace-based skills assessment, apprenticeship training in industry and gainful employment of the graduates. I maintain linkages with NSDA, BTEB and other organizations for TVET reform agendas in Bangladesh. I used to work with NSDA, BTEB and the Industrial Skills Council (ISC) of different sector especially for the development of National Competency Standards (CS), Curricula and CBLM. I also work for establishing network with other skills development programs and development partners in TVET for facilitation of TVET policy.
I also worked in one of the leading TVET provider organization UCEP Bangladesh as a Program Officer Technical Education and Divisional Coordinator Technical Education. During my working tenure in UCEP Bangladesh, I have an experience of implementing TVET programs in 32 different trades in RMG, Electrical & Electronic, Transport, Light Industry, Construction, Furniture, Food and Printing sectors. I also implemented best SSC vocational Program in the country under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). I have an enormous experience of implementing TVET Programs as per National Skills Development Policy 2011, National Technical and Vocational Qualification Framework (NTVQF) and National Skills Quality Assurance System (NSQAS). 9 Technical School of UCEP had been accredited as RTO, all the 10 Technical Schools of UCEP also had been accredited as RPL assessment center and UCEP Training Institute had been accreted as the unique RTO for providing Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) by BTEB and I coordinated all these accomplishments. I coordinated several programs of RPL assessment and assessment of CBT&A training programs. I also have an experience of piloting the apprenticeship training program partnership with ILO TVET Reform Project.
I started my career in an electricity distribution organization Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) as an Assistant General Manager (Member Service). I worked as focal point for liaison with the government and public as a member service department head of a rural electric cooperative. Member education program and conducting the technical training programs for the staff were included in my key responsibilities. These strengths, combined with deep and varied employment experience in the field of development prepare me to make a strong and immediate impact at organization.
