· Maintain a systems backed operation for maintenance & upkeep of company owned plant & machinery also generate data, record and monitor performance of machinery, this makes way for planned maintenance, and hence schedules are made & kept. This results in maintaining budgets and making planned expenditure. This also included a check on inventory levels of spare and lubricants which were maintained to ensure smooth flow of work.
· Hands on experience in establishing a fully functioning Machinery Department from scratch & guaranteeing 98% uptime availability for production at site.
· Plan for machinery availability in consultation with Project Manager. Servicing needs of equipment are announced well in time to concerned persons, such that minimal time is lost in machine operation.
· I have hands on experience in maintenance of all types of equipment such as large air compressors, air dryers, and earthmoving equipment, on & off road equipment. I have equipped myself by attending special training classes for truck repair & maintenance and a range of gear boxes.
· I am trained is HSE, fire fighting, basic life support and H2S awareness and escape as well.
· I have recently under gone few management training in house in Effective problem solving and Decision making and Financial Re-Engineering from the best in the industry, and have helped me a lot in over coming many difficulties technically, and advancing to the further stage with a strength.
COMPETENCIES OVERVIEW
Implementation:
Designed and implemented equipment efficiency / performance analysis to arrive at a point to decide on future action to be taken, before reaching an emergency situation.
Manpower Planning & Training:
I planned for providing manpower coinciding with the project commencement. This included contingencies as well. Performance mapping of individuals is carried out constantly vis-à-vis machine performance parameters. The attitude and outlook of personal in department were tuned to perform as per ISO & OSHAS norms and also suiting ERP needs for reports & feedback.
Compensation & Benefits:
Implemented KRA for each individual & performance would be reviewed periodically, with indicators available to the individual on observed deviations, for corrective action & an observation plan & period. A failure of the individual to match up would be considered for other suitable duties and a replacement is found. The individual’s compensation / increment recommendation would be put up based on mapped performance.
Operating Facility:
A fully functional work shop adequately equipped with all necessary tools & utilities is planned for every location manned with trained personal & if required for 24 hours working shifts.
Project Coordination:
I ensure proper coordinated instruction is worked out with site Project managers, so as to ensure no pockets of idle time are left out in work instructions.
New Projects:
When new projects are taken up by the company, it is my responsibility to identify and select & recommend the desired equipment, keeping in mind our past experience and location.
Operating Softwares:

Currently working in the capacity of Head – Maintenance (Equipment Division), with the responsibility of managing the whole workshop and associated activities in repair and maintenance of around 700 Heavy equipment fleet consisting of Caterpillar, komatsu and Volvo heavy equipments and Mobile cranes of different makes up to 600 T capacity, along with other transport vehicles and passenger vehicles.

The project includes Laying of GRP line of dia ranging up to 3.5 Mtr for providing a common cooling Sea Water for different stations for heat discipation.

I was responsible for forecasting the services & repair activities for all above equipments. Also for optimum utilization and availability of all equipments for the site use and carry out inspection of above equipments time to time for the road worthiness and to arrange third party to inspect the above for the fitness standards set by PDO.
