Responsibilities: Collect and prepare specimen, reagent and materials needed for

assay/testing to perform laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis, treatment

and prevention of diseases.

Evaluates and perform delta checks on patient results prior to releasing in the LIS.

Perform and ensure good quality control and maintenance of automated machines/analyzers and equipment used in the lab.

Ensures that operations in the section are done in accordance with the laboratory’s quality and work instruction manual.

 

October – December, 2016 – Department of Health Region VII, Medical Technologist Deployment

Responsibilities: Collect and test specimens to help diagnose diseases and infections.

Performed manual and semi-automatic laboratory procedures in clinical microscopy, hematology as well as blood typing and clinical chemistry.

 

Clinical Training

October 2015 – May 2016 – Southwestern University Medical Technology Internship Program

Assigned and trained with hands on senior medical technologists in three different hospitals in Cebu City. Performed routine laboratory procedures, rotations on blood banking, clinical chemistry, histopathology, hematology, clinical microscopy, water analysis and microbiology.

The hospitals were: Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Visayas Community Medical Center and Sacred Heart Hospital (now Southwestern University Medical Center).
