I am a young auditor currently employed in the maritime and transport industry with over 7 years in the
finance department and 4 years in management level.
I work well both independently and in a team to ensure we beat deadlines ensuring integrity, honesty and
professionalism are upheld.
Currently looking for a new and challenging position as an Auditor or and an Accountant where I can

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
[Internal Auditor] Kenya Ports Authority. Mombasa, Kenya July 2017 – Present
(Kenya Ports Authority is the second largest port along the Indian Ocean after the port of Durban)
 Part of a team that participated in unearthing a scandal within the port of over CAD 3,222,087. Currently the
scandal is under judicial proceedings. Used data mining skills, analysis via Case Ware Idea and Excel among
others.
 Participated in various audits of Port operations, Marine operations and the Financial departments to ensure
conformity with the Kenyan policies, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International
Maritime Organization (IMO) standards, Authority policies among other relevant policies.
[Manager and Supervisor] St. Peter Square Schools., Iten, Kenya Jan 2015 – Present
(St. Peter Square Schools is a family owned school established in 2015 in Iten Kenya)
 Supervised the groundbreaking and construction of the school worth over CAD 1,336,965.60 that is 50%
complete as at December 2018. The school has over 200 pupils all in elementary level.
 Designed the school logo, came up with the school mission and vision.
 Helped in designing the school strategic plan for five years period 2018-2022.
[Head of Finance Department] Kisii University., Kapenguria, Kenya Oct 2014 – May 2017
(Kisii University is a Public University in Kenya that received its Charter in 2013)
 Managed the finance department of Kisii University, Kapenguria campus from 2014 to 2017 with a cash flow
of over CAD 601,634.52 per annum in matters school fees. With just two accountants in the campus, my
assistant and myself, we managed the cashbook, bank reconciliations, and payroll of part time lecturers,
marketing funds, and petty cash among any other funds.
 Oversaw the growth of the Campus from zero students to over 1500 in just two and half years by the time I
left Kisii University. The students span from certificates, diplomas, degrees, masters and postgraduates.

 Managed all the financial matters of the company including; payroll management, cashbook and bank
reconciliations, receipting and stock verification.

Main project: Researched the effect of privatization of public enterprises and their performance after
