• A barber provides hair and beard personal appearance services to male clients. These professionals cut and trim hair and beards.
• Barbers mostly concentrate on cutting and trimming hair. They also shampoo and style hair and most hold a special license to color, bleach or highlight hair. Some barbers will offer permanent wave services, and most cut and trim beards amd mustaches as well.
• Barbers also fit hairpieces and perform scalp treatments for their clients. Most also offer facial shaving and help customers with hair and scalp problems they may be suffering from.
• An important part of a barber’s job is to help customers decide on appropriate services for their particular hair care needs. They will make recommendations based on the customer’s prefferences and their own professional judgement.
