Key Accountabilities:
Lead and participate in ongoing Internal Financial Control, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, SOX compliance Monitoring and compliance for the financial year as per annual plan
Identify and perform the test of test of design (TOD) and test of operating effectiveness (TOE) of controls and creating the work papers for the assigned units
Documenting business and support functions processes reviewed and mapping of controls identified during the design evaluation
Preparation of the risk control matrix for the assigned businesses and support functions based on the walkthroughs performed during design evaluation
Within the framework of implementation of new controls, verify that controls properly cover the risks and recommend any improvements if needed
Identify the gaps in the processes reviewed and discuss the same with the process owner and implementation of effective controls
Performing the Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) for assigned units
Having understanding of credit underwriting for various products like business loan, professional loan, home loan, loan against property, developer finance, term loans, purchase order finance, ware house receipt finance, vendor finance
Criteria for sanctioning of loans based on the credit policies approved by the company. Whether appropriate deviation approvals are obtained at the time of sanctioning of loans by the credit manager
Preparing accurate, organized and concise reports for the gaps identified in both design testing and operating testing conducted along with proper work-papers as supporting evidence
Data extraction through IT & other teams as an integral part of exception testing for the issues identified where ever possible
Continuous improvement in the end to end risk and control environment across business and support functions
Interacting with all levels (up to CFO, Business Heads) to review and communicate findings and recommendations
Providing input into the efficiencies, procedures and effectiveness of an evolving Internal Controls of the organization
Ability to work autonomously as well in team environment taking responsibility assigned
Assisting the Manager of Internal Controls with special projects, investigations and other duties as assigned
Follow-up with the stakeholders for closer of open issues and on their implementation and interacting with external auditors for smooth completion of Internal Financial Control reviews
Collaborate and contribute to positive working relationships with internal clients and team
Knowledge sharing within the internal teams and guiding the interns and trainees
Ability to manage team and meet the deadlines
Implementation of application (Quick Control), which enables the organization to maintain the control repository centralized and tracking of projects by the senior officials
