Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawing and specification for all works under contract performed ON or OFF site.
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
• Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and site in-charge for inspection and meeting about the quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.
• Report to the QA/QC manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Management System, QMS.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test result, inspection request, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction SI.
• Develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specification of the project.
• Welding surveillance prior BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER welding, inspect all joint preparation, joint configuration and cleanliness.
• Carrying out WQT, WPS, PQR as per ASME Sec IX Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers and measuring tapes Tack-weld fitted parts together.
• Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the project.
• Stage wise inspection before, during and after fabrication.
• Line walk and Punch List preparation before Hydro.
• Welding surveillance prior BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER welding, inspect joint preparation, joint configuration and cleanliness.
• BS EN 970 Visual examination of root passes for proper procedure, penetration undercut, cracks, slags, porosity and any compromises the usefulness in a weld metal.
• To ensure that welding operations are carried out in accordance with written, or agreed practices or specifications
• Pre-Heating. (Method and control)
• In process distortion control (Balance or sequence welding)
• Consumable control. (Correct baking and storage prior to use)
