Work Experience

Child&Elderly Private Duty Midwife on-call up to present.
I was a par time/on-call duty midwife (PDM/nurse asst.) in home and hospital based care. I am contacted by my colleague through referrals if they have a client that is looking or needs a par time PDM.
Responsibilities:
· Assisting elderly for ambulation, such as walking exercise.
· Accompany patient from post operation.
· NGT or PEG feeding or nebulization as per physician order.
· Insertion of catheter for female patient with the physician medical order if needed.
· Taking of vital sign.
· Helping out with personal hygiene and care such as bathing.
· Assisting taking of prescribed medicine.
· Assisting with preparation of every meal.
· Keeping them company, watching and assisting in every task they are doing such as social life, reading, painting, writing, etc.
· Maintaining the place safe and clean all the time.
· Coordinating, monitoring and reporting with main doctor with progress of the patient.
· Accompany them in their consultation or physiotherapy session.

· Preparing/Checking the Pulmonary Function Test machine and nebulizer machine prior to patient procedure.

· Transferring patient to ER or Triage or Respiratory Clinic.
