Current Work
I have been working in the Industry & Energy Division of the Bangladesh Planning Commission under the Ministry of Planning since 10 February 2016 till date. Currently, my job responsibility is to facilitate processing and implementation monitoring of the development projects of the industry sector. Specifically, I am responsible for processing the project documents and monitoring the projects of Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) under the Prime Minister’s Office. In this division, previously, I also worked for processing of the project documents and implementation monitoring of the projects under Ministry of Jute and Textile and Statistics and Informatics Division (SID) under Ministry of Planning and Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources.

I worked in the Planning Wing of the Ministry of Youth and Sports since August 15, 2014 to 10 February 2016. My job responsibility in the Ministry was to facilitate sports and youth development of the country through processing and monitoring of Government’s and Development Partners’ financed projects in the aforementioned sectors.

I worked in the International Development Association (IDA) assisted Emergency Cyclone 2007 Cyclone Recovery and Restoration Project (ECRRP): Project Coordination and Monitoring Unit (PCMU) since September 2013 to August 2014. The Project is being implemented by the Programming Division of the Planning Commission of the Government of Bangladesh. My position was Deputy Director (M&E). My responsibilities were to coordinate, monitor and evaluate different activities under the project. I also worked with the World Bank through regular correspondence and reporting in order to keep them updated regarding the progress of various activities under ECRRP. Moreover, the responsibility of PCMU was to work as a hub between IDA and all the implementing agencies of the project and coordinate among agencies.

I worked in the General Economic Division (GED) of the Planning Commission. GED is responsible for preparing Five Year Plans, Perspective Plans, medium and short term plans and other policy related documents of the Government. Specifically, I worked in the Macroeconomics and Perspective Plan Wing of GED.

Performing (as a member of Government Team) Economic Negotiations and Processing of Financing /Credit Agreements with the World Bank and other Development Partners;
