EXPERIENCE
Exide Technologies, Calgary Alberta — Lead Hand/Assistant Manager
September 2013 – April 2018
I did a number of duties when I worked for Home Depot, those duties pertained to working within a team focused environment. I supervised and coached other to be motivated within the work day. Our team also did monthly audits that rigorously made sure our  inventory was on point. Attention to detail is a must in company, any and all instructions were followed to the letter.

Hi-Tech Productions, Calgary Alberta, — Sound Engineer
January 1997 – Sub Contract Work
I still do side work with this company, the workload has always been the same, yet as always it’s been highly enjoyable. I do audio engineering and I am an avid Sound Technician, through this company – and when bands come to calgary to play – I support whomever is on stage with an array of equipment. I have a very strong understanding of electrical components, from Electrical Wire to complex soundboards for DJ Equipment. I also DJ all sorts of events; from Weddings, Special Events, to Big concerts.

Home Depot, Calgary, Alberta — Night Crew Manager
June 2009 – September 2013
Taking over the Night Crew was a daunting task, but I learnt not only a lot about myself but also how to properly manage a group of people. Fine tuning my skills to better excel productivity within the workplace. I spearheaded the Health & Safety committee for the entire branch. Paving the way to further gain a broader skill set; I became a certified First Aid & Forklift Trainer; measuring twice and cutting once was always a motto I live by and having those skills helped me show others how to proceed properly.

Star Building Materials, Calgary Alberta — Lumber Yard Supervisor
October 2007 – June 2009
I would have daily morning meetings with the crew, explain to them what sort of day we would have, give them a plan of which tasks needed to be completed throughout the day, thus making sure that every yard-hand had a job to complete. Unloading semi-trucks and making home building packages was an everyday occurrence.

Walmart, Victoria, British Columbia — Receiving Manager
March 1999 – October 2007
I would oversaw the the allocation of products from the receiving bay to store designated areas in a timely manner. I was responsible for coaching and training of new Receiving associates, making sure that they were properly developing the skills needed to move forward in their new position. I assisted the Store manager to effectively implement the daily tasks, and completing them in a safe and effective way.

Hudson Bay Company, Victoria, British Columbia — Assistant Branch Manager
April 1991 – March 1999
I was responsible for all aspects of accounting, purchasing, warehouse details, customer service and personnel scheduling. A heavy workload indeed but it gave me the skills to purpell myself into my long work career. I provided an array of training outlets for my employees, I would coach and motivate others to take the extra step in doing things properly, I effectively boosted productivity within the workplace, making sure that the crew felt like a small family and not just another employee. I oversaw the accounting stage of the branch, making sure that we hit our targets and if we didn’t what could we do better and reflect on those past decisions. Overall HBC gave me a foundation in my set of skills that truly prepared me for the everything else to come.
