Job Description: Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry of motor, pump, compressor, fan, transformer, breaker, switch, control panel, etc. Assembles and tests experimental motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles. Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of supervisor/or higher position. Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance. Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion, and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties. Job Description: Operate to Supply Water, Steam, and Power demand by Refinery and National Grid of the Philippines. Monitor/Operate power plant equipments and facilities from coal handling, demineralized water treatment/waste water treatment, cooling tower, compressed air, boiler, turbine, up to generator indicator to detect evidence of operating problems. Opens and closes valves and switches to start or shut down auxiliary units. Control or maintain auxiliary equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed water heaters, filters etc. to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, or auxiliary power. Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water and chemical levels, based on instrument data or from computers. Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary. Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs, or reports. Clean, lubricate, or maintain equipment such as generators, turbines, pumps, or compressors, to prevent failure or deterioration. Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals. Control water, steam, and power generating equipment including water treatment equipments, boilers, turbines, generators, using control boards or semi-automatic equipment. Make adjustment or minor repairs such as tightening leaking gland and pipe joints. Inspect records or logbook entries or communicate with plant personnel to asses equipment operating status. Place standby emergency electrical generators on line in emergencies and monitor the temperature, pressure, output, and lubrication of the system. Adjust controls to generate specified electrical power and team or to regulate the flow between generating stations and substations. Control generator output to match the phase, frequency, or voltage of electricity supplied to panels. Communicate with systems operators to regulate and coordinate line voltages and transmission loads and frequencies. Collect water, oil, chemical, ash, fuel, etc. samples for laboratory analysis. Reset tripped electric relays. Examine and test electrical power distribution machinery and equipment using testing devices. Receive outage calls and request necessary personnel during power and steam outages or emergencies.
