Scope of work:

Transport Sr.Operation Supervisor

 

Managing all transportation or hauling needs within a business, such as but not limited to:
budgets,
schedules,
And route planning.
Coordinate with the dispatcher to assign trucks, ensure drivers know their routes, and keep track of vehicle maintenance needs.
Tracks shipments, liaise with customers, and check all areas of the supply chain for efficiency, all while making sure operations continue to run smoothly.
Completes all paperwork related to transportation, develop or revise shipping policies for the company, and implement plans that increase company profits.
Other duties include communicating with other department and company managers to coordinate transport activities, settling customer complaints related to product deliveries, and hiring new employees as needed.
Responsible for direction and oversight of Golden Choice Logistics and Trucking Services, including, but not limited to operations, maintenance, safety/compliance, equipment and personnel

D. MOTORPOOL

 

1.   Make sure that all delivery vehicles are properly maintained and are always in good condition.

2.   Implement cost saving strategist to minimize operating expenses of deliveries.

3.   Monitors operating expenses of delivery vehicles like fuel consumption, maintenance cost and etc.

 

E. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

LOGISTICS-Transport

 

1.   Ensure a complete turnover of stocks and document on time into the intended recipients.

 

2.   Ensure that all delivery pertinent documents are accurately process before distributing and releasing to the delivery team, forwarders, and customer and retail branches, in a timely manner.

 

3.   Properly plan for the optimum delivery schedule considering the normal logistics delivery and exceptional delivery request from the other department to achieve a schedule that will be beneficial to all while maintaining a cost effective balance between customer service and the cost of shipment.

 

4.   Manage the GPS system to monitor fleets that are in transit to keep an updated status of delivery.

5.   Secure awareness of the Logistics staff in proper material handling to guarantee the good condition of the items from dispatching, in-transit and up to delivery into the recipient.

 

6.   Responsible in providing and strictly implementing safety procedure for the logistics staff to have a healthful work environment in performing their individual job in a safe manner and achieving a zero lost time  accident  .

 

7.   Manage the maintenance of all delivery vehicles and equipment trough implementation of a daily fleet’s post-inspection. Ensures that all fleets will be available for delivery at all times and that no related repair issue will be raised once scheduled.

8.   Ensure an accurate turnover of under specification/return items and documents to warehouse and timely pick up f this from the requestor, which is usually , comes from the branches
