I. Recruitment Officer
· Supervises/conducts the recruitment and sourcing of qualified applicants.
· Maintains records of all applicants pre-qualified for future reference.
· Conducts the preliminary and technical (for engine only) interview of applicants.
· Responsible in filing up Capital’s recruitment interview checklist and applicant general assessment form.
· Checks authenticity and validity of applicant’s training certificates.
· Conducts assessment and evaluation interview of engine ratings/officers for promotion.
· Conducts final briefing of embarking crew.
· Conducts the exit interview of disembarked crew, conducts assessment of trainings required to undertake.
· Ensures all applicants prior proposal has been checked for references from previous agencies.
II. Training Manager
· Overall in-charge of CSMPI’s training department.
· Custodian of all training materials/equipment including principal supplied data/quality manuals.
· Responsible in updating the principal’s SMS manuals regarding revisions/new issuances.
· Conducts the training certificate assessment of new applicants and ex-crews’ prior nomination to the principal.
· Assess/identifies training needs of new crew /ex-crew, ensuring their compliance to required trainings prior joining vessel.
· Schedules and conducts PDOS, Anti-Piracy and in-house pre-joining trainings of crew as per owners/principals’ requirement.
· Signs the PDOS and all pre-joining in-house training certificates.
· Dispatches crew to accredited training centers (with MOA) for all principal required and STCW trainings.
· Ensures all applicants for proposal has undergone the Seagull CBT examinations, whereas arranges ex-crews on-shore to undergo CBT Trainings as required by the principal.
· Prepares, recommends and monitors a training plan for crew.
· Maintains updated crew certificates and documentation matrix of all crew.
· Prepares syllabus for in-house trainings/seminars as per principal’s requirement.
· Prepares cadetship program of the company for approval of owners/principals.
· Updates the company on latest STCW Regulations including MARINA, PRC and MTC issuances/Memos.
· Maintains file/records of memorandums and updated national/flag and legislation requirements in regards to crew’s documentation.
· Will function as the company’s safety and environmental officer, ensuring and recording the periodic implementation of safety drills in the office. Recommends and implements safety policies and procedures.
· Keeps records of safety equipment and maintenance records.
· To perform other responsibilities that may be delegated by management.
