JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Responsible for signaling, position of crane, material using for lifting and status of crane.

·         Working under supervision of the crane operator and the safety of the working area.

DAEAH ENGINNERING AND CONSTRUCTION  (SARB) package 4 Satah Al rasboot oil and gas refinery Abhudabi UAE  this project more on pipe track line  as a rigger my job is  installation of  pipe line and erection   using 100 ton  mobile crane TADANO with  appropriate material like shackle  sling belt  in different tons according to the weight of material  we lifting.  In our project we maintain our  material  like  the safety working load (SWL)  we make sure that we using a right  equipment for our lifting  procedure. I also  make a proper signal to the crane operator  that can easily  understand the lifting  area

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF RIGGER

As a rigger, it handles the equipment and supplies that are constantly being supplied  by any lifting  jobs. Responsible for hitching the load and give hand signal the crane operator who maneuvers the crane during lifting operation.

Oil rig workers, whether at sea or on land, begin at the rank of roustabout and move up from there. Roustabouts clean, inspect and maintain the equipment such as mud pumps, pipes and cranes. Oil riggers on land move up from roustabout to derrick operator to service unit operator to driller.

Riggers in the construction industry are involved with setting up the pieces of equipment necessary to keep the ship functioning: ropes, pulleys, winches, and cables.

1.Align, level, and anchor machinery.
2. Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.

3.Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.

4.Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.

5.Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
6.Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets.
