RESERVATIONS AGENT (Feb. 2017 – Present) – Grand Excelsior Hotel – Al Barsha, Dubai
Receives processes and confirm guest room reservations made by clients on the phone, fax, Email, Extranet and GDS.
Inputs all reservations into the computer recording all pertinent information and filing of the same.
Check all reservations arrival next day to ensure everything is in order.
Understand the call handling technique and comply the same as per the GEH.
Attends to enquiries, complaints and request regarding reservation.
Maintains established filing system of all correspondence.
Collates and prepare reports as required by Revenue manager / Supervisor.
Promotes and maintains good public relations and endeavors to maximize business.
TELEPHONE OPERATOR (Dec 2014 – Feb 2017) – Grand Excelsior Hotel – Al Barsha, Dubai
Support and provide superior service via phone and faxes as a receiver and caller.
Use questioning and listening skills that support effective telephone communication.
Use an effective approach to handle special telephone tasks like transfer, taking messages,
call backs, holds, interruptions and unintentional disconnect.
Use the most appropriate way to communicate with different behaviour types on the
telephone.
Apply the proper telephone etiquette to satisfy various guest situations.
Assists and maintaining and updating telephone directories and events when notified of
changes in order to access correct information.
Logs all wake-up call requests and perform wake-up call services.
Multitasking abilities will always come in handy, because a switchboard operator may be
ask to do other job.
